Going the extra mile

The situation is I loaded R1800 on a existing sim card, thinking that I should be able to convert the R1800 to the Giga200 data bundle. Later on I found out that a new sim has to be purchased at a Cell C store.

Now I realise I made a mistake, but still why is it impossible for the the R1800 on the sim to be utilised to get the new sim card with the giga200 data on it. Ultimately its my R1800 cash on the sim card.

I've recently after more then 10 years with Vodacom moved over my contract to Cell C and I expected a bit more then hearing sorry that cannot be done by customer care.

So please it cannot be impossible to do, why not go the extra mile and make the customer smile. Ultimately its not like I want to take the money and spend it at a competitor.
