My Sony Xperia Z suffered water damage as a result of being dropped in 1m of water for around 5mins.

See an excerpt from the Sony website below:
"The Xperia Z Ultra has a waterproof rating of IPX5/8, meaning it is waterproof at a depth of 1.5 m in fresh water and is jet resistant."

On taking it into be repaired, I requested the store to find out about the warranty claim. They did not do this. They did not inform me that the phone was picked up late for repairs and would be ready 5 days later than expected.

After hearing nothing from them for a week, I phone the store for an update, which fell on deaf ears. The person I spoke to couldn't even be bothered to help me.

After that I took to Facebook to voice my concerns, only then did they inform me about the delay, I asked about the warranty issue, they could offer me no help, nor did they try.

Finally after a month of waiting, I was called to come pick up my phone. However, upon arrival, I was shocked to find out that the phone had not been repaired.

This has also cost me a month's worth of data as they did not have a substitute phone.

I hope that Cell C will help rectify the situation with either the warranty or repair ASAP.
