We upgraded our cell phone with MTN on 8 February to a R99 special. We have been overcharged from our very first account and are currently being billed at R120.50 per month. I have emailed them copies of the contract and even a copy of the advert. I have been to MTN in Umhlanga. Every time I email, go there or call I get a new reference number. Whats the point if they don't actually every refer to the reference numbers. To date I have had no report back on the overcharge, even though someone did call me to say it would be rectified after I once again sent them copies. I did this, but still nothing. So even though we only signed a contract for R99 per month, they have actively been additional fees from us and will just not answer any calls or emails regarding this. Perhaps if I lay a charge of and take them to court, then someone may do something. Their service is most pathetic. And the sad thing is that I have 4 personal contracts with MTN as well which I am really considering cancelling as they come to the end of their life spans due to the complete inefficiencies of their so called service consultants. I wonder how many others are overcharged?
