The current Vodacom Giveahappy promo is accually not giving a friend or family a give yet their TV ad says so. You send the persons number to 1234 to send them a gift yet what vodacom fails to do it tell us that the receipant will have to pay yet another 50cent to redeem this so called gift thus not making it a gift at all. They should specify in the ad because I've sent gifts to friends and family and some have not been able to redeem then because they had no airtime. You only find out that you have to pay to redeem when u receive the sms notifying you of that gift and if such gift is not redeemed they should be refunding the sender. Yesterday they had a problem on their side as per call centre agents and gifts were not redeemable which means I sent gifts for nothing and vodacom charged me for them. If its a gift I as the sender should be paying not the receiver. Vodacom is lying to us
