Vodacom has spammed me with sms' over the past two days offering me a gift. Here is one of the messages: You have 500 SMS from 18:00-23.59 to use on 29/11. To redeem this gift sms 1 to 1234. R0.50/SMS. T&Cs [URL Removed]
Surely one needs to provide an opt out and this is spam.
