No one has any common sense in this office

Last week Tuesday evening Port Elizabeth experienced the worst electric storm in weather data keeping history. telephone lines and modems were fried. What did we do before the internet and email!! so off to Telkom the Bridge we go to get a replacement ADSL router. Sorry not covered by lightning damage. okay back to the office to get R799. Requisition slip and 2 signatures later back to Telkom at the bridge. Sorry no stock - not taking numbers to call you when they get. Try again next week. Tuesday back to Telkom we go R799 in hand. sorry no stock expecting some on Thursday. Thursday back to Telkom we go. Only after 2.00pm. Hopefully!!! how many routers are you getting? Don't know. how many people are coming today to get routers? Don't know. Surely it does not take a genius to make a list of names and numbers as people come in and order that many routers and then start at the top of the list and phone people to collect by the next day and if you don't come then tomorrow they phone the next person on the list.
We have lots of petrol and time to drive up and down. no wonder Telkom battles to keep market share.
