18 SEPTEMBER MY ADSL WAS INSTALLED, ON THE 26 OCTOBER THE ADSL ROUTER HAD A FAULT WHICH I REPORTED. A WEEK LATER A TECHNICIAN CAME TO MY HOUSE, TESTED IT AND CONFIRMED THAT THE ROUTER HAS A FAULT. I WAS REQUESTED TO TAKE IT TO TELKOM, QUEENSTOWN DOES NOT HAVE TELKOM, THEY SAID I MUST TAKE IT TO THE NEAREST, I COMPLAINED THAT EAST LONDON IS THE NEXT TOWN AT 200KM ONE WAY. I WAS TOLD THAT THE IS NO OTHER WAY. I ASKED TELKOM TO GIVE ME THEIR EAST LONDON STORE NUMBER SO THAT I CAN MAKE SURE THAT THEY HAVE STOCK BEFORE I TRAVEL, THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED TO GIVE ME THE NUMBER. I LOOKED IT UP ON THE INTERNET WHICH I COULD NOT FIND AS THEY DID NOT LIST IT. 21 NOVEMBER I WENT TO EAST LONDON, ON ARRIVAL I WAS TOLD THAT THEY RAN OUT OF STOCK AND THAT I MUST COME BACK THE FOLLOWING DAY, I STILL HAVE NO INTERNET. I FIND THIS SERVICE VERY INCONVENIENT AND COSTLY FOR ME AND I AM CONSIDERING ANOTHER SERVICE PROVIDER AS A MATTER OF URGENCY.
