I took out four contracts at Nashua mobile for my brother, two nieces and my nephew a couple of years back. During October 2013 it was time for them to upgrade, two of them wanted the Galaxy S4 and two opted for the S4 mini all on any time 200 contracts with payment being their responsibility. Beginning of October the S4 racked up a data usage of R3, 879.99 vat included. Last week in October a S4 mini racked up R5519.50 data usage. So Nashua being Nashua they soft lock the S4 in October phone me about this demanding payment in October 2013.
Yesterday they phoned me about the S4 mini demanding to know when I will be able to pay the R5519.50. The lady even admit that they Nashua were supposed to put a limit on the phones to avoid their high usage. Today (Tuesday 05th November) received a call from their attorneys I have been handed over and need to pay the S4 mini (R5519.50) and an arrear amount.
MY FEELING IS THAT IT WAS THEIR NEGLIGENCE BY FAILING TO GIVE US ADEQUATE AND PROPER ADVICE ON THE DEVICES AND CONTRACTS KNOWING FULL WELL THAT THESE DEVICES ON A CONTRACT LIKE MTN Any Time CAN INCUR HIGH USAGE. IT IS VERY EASY FOR SOMEONE WITH NO TECH KNOWLEDGE TO INCUR SUCH COSTS AND
