I phoned MTN on the 30th September to give them notice that I intended cancelling my contract when it completed. I was told I could not do it up front but had to do it on the day it expired (2nd November). I then phoned on the 1 November as the 2nd was a Saturday and was stonewalled by the call centre operator who insisted I call ON the 2nd if I wanted to do this. This is an example of the reason I am cancelling my contract. As a high value account (averaging over R1000 per month) this kind of poor service is not just unacceptable but absolutely pathetic and amounts to little less than stonewalling. If I am unable to cancel tomorrow they will then charge for an additional month. I will take my business elsewhere.
