Vodacom
Unidentifiable internet 'taking' money

My wife's contract is with Vodacom. Her phone keeps taking money off. As it gets loaded, it immediately starts coming off. We have phoned & gone to Vodacom & they spin rubbish stories like 'it's WhatsApp taking your money', or 'switch off your automatic updates' as if we are that don't know how to switch off automatic updates, & even when the phone is not in use, STILL the money comes off. E.g. a few days ago her dad bought her a R110 recharge card (top-up contract). Despite minimal use during the day (no FB, no sms, no mms, no other internet browsing), by that afternoon the entire R100 was gone. When phoning Vodacom, their call centres confirm that they can see on the system that the money is constantly coming off as soon as it is loaded, but other than tell us that (something which we already know!), they say they cannot assist us in any way. At this stage, we are planning to cancel her Vodacom contract at the end of the year and move her over to MTN with whom I have my contract... or possibly ever Telkom Mobile with whom we also have a contract. It's pathetic that they are shifting the blame & not assisting in sorting out the problem.
