On 13 June I went in to the Vodacom shop in Norwood to renew my contract. I was on a talk 500 and wanted to reduce my expense as I was not using all my minutes. I was advised to downgrade to a top up 200. I did this and got a free Blackberry 9730 and added an sms bundle. My total bill should now be about R360 per month. But the downgrade was not processed and I am being billed over R700 every month for minutes that I don't even use. If I was going to keep such an expensive contract I could have got a much better phone, like an I-phone. I have been back to the shop three times and they tell me the problem is with Head Office. I have tried phoning Vodacom accounts dept many times but they cannot sort out the problem. Now they have told me it can only be done on 31 October. This is ridiculous. I want my contract changed to the talk 200 top-up that I signed up for, and I want a refund of the money I have been paying for the last 4 months for an expensive contract that I don't need. and for the inconvenience you can take back your blackberry and give an I-phone!
