New phone not doing what I expected it to do

I went to Vodacare Tygervalley on 2 Oct to renew my contract. Michelle helped me. I decided on the Nokia Asha 306. I inquired about whether whats app would work on the phone on which Michelle answered that it would work. I managed to download whats app and realized that the phone does not go to landscape mode when turned and the typing screen was minute. This will not work for me as the screen is very small and almost impossible to type anything in portrait mode.

Also, Michelle told me that she can only transfer my contacts and images as data. She charged me R99 for each. Later I saw that she only transferred about half of my contacts (up to "M") and I had to transfer the contacts again myself and had to delete all the double contacts manually myself.

I went back to the shop on Sunday 6 Oct 2013 and spoke to Theo about the landscape mode of the phone and he also agreed that it would not work. Chantall Johnson phoned me on 7 Oct to hear my complaints, which I conveyed. Chantall mailed me that afternoon to say that they have investigated the matter and that they will not be changing the handset. I answered by asking details of the investigation and have heard nothing since then.
