Charging for services without specifying costs

I went to the vodacom shop in Tygervalley on Monday the 6th of January to upgrade my account and was charged extra fees without being asked whether I could do this myself or being told that this would cost Rx amount.

What happened was is the individual told me that he is going to transfer all my contacts and data via bluetooth to my new phone (something I can do myself), without telling me that this would result in extra costs. Seeing that this is an straight forward action not even taking more then 5 minutes, I assumed it is part of the upgrade process.

To my surprise, when asked to pay I was charged R99 respectively for each action with the reference on the invoice saying data transference.

I am not pleased with this, if I know it would cost so much, I would have declined and said I would do this myself as my samsung tab automatically transferred all my contacts from facebook.

If you could please advice me if this is the new way of business of Vodacom?
