Cannot get decent signal

My signal varies from low to nothing which means I have no signal a lot of the time which means I cannot receive or phone out and cannot use my laptop, I have phoned the help line and told them the problem and also asked about signal enhancers, only to be told they cannot help and to change provider, which would be inconvenient as I would have to RICA and change e-mail address
