I did an upgrade of my contract at the Clearwater Mall branch recently. i told the consultant VERY clearly that i did not want to get one of those huge bills i have heard horror stories about from other new smart phone users. He told me catagorically that IT WOULD NOT HAPPEN. Well, it did. To make it worse, this very consultant offered a once off data bundle on the day of the upgrade as my new contract would only be effective from the next month. I gladly accepted. Due to the fact that i downloaded music, i went back to the very same store a week later to purchase another data bundle. Again, it was a once off data bundle to tide me over until by contract came into effect. To my horror i received a bill of R3891!! when i called to check why, they tell me that the data bundles i was given were recurring and would only come into effect with the new contract. I have made call after call, BEGGED for resolution and an amount for me to pay, all to no avail. they have cut off and reconnected my service a number of times. i have left messages for supervisors to call me, then the accounts manager, no response. I asked for the name of the CEO and was nicely sidetracked. the staff don't know?
