FAILURE TO PORT MY NUMBER FROM MTN

I opened a contract for an iphone 5 with Cell C on Saturday, after waiting around Gateway for 2 hours (Abelene told me that the number could be ported from MTN at any time) it has now been more than 48 hours and she cannot tell me what the problem is with porting my number from MTN. The have now said it will only go through in 16 October.

I was a prepaid customer on MTN (no contract to settle etc). Her attitude was just 'there is an error on the system and they don't know what is wrong'. 'We cannot talk to MTN as we work for cell C'. If you really wanted my business you would pick up the phone and ask MTN what is going on!!!

Cell C need to stop spending so much money on advertising & building their brand equity, if the people who face customers are unable to provide a decent service, Vodacom & MTN will be smiling. They need to upskill & empower their staff to provide leading edge service if they want to survive in a competitive market.

I am appalled with the service I received from Abelene & will never ocnsider Cell C in future & I will earn everyone I know about the shocking service I received.
