I took out a new contract with Vodacom at their Blue Route shop on the 18 Sept 2013. They were very happy to open the contract and take my money. I was told that it would take 2-3 days for the port to take place and was instructed not to turn on my new iPhone 4 until the port was complete, as it would delay the porting process.
After 7 days I was told by the Blue Route shop that there was a "technical problem" with the port and it would take a further 2 days to be completed. When I visited the Canal Walk shop 2 days later I was told that they didn't have any record of the port having a technical issue - so this comes down to incompetence at the Blue Route shop.
Finally, 9 days later, my old sim card went dead and my new one started working. I was finally able to turn on my brand new phone for the first time. The joy lasted for under an hour as the phone ended up being a dud. After returning it the next day and waiting at the shop for 3 hours(!) I was told that it would be sent back as a OBF.
1 month later, I still have not received a new phone AND I still cannot receive calls or txts from certain networks- including OTPs from my bank! This has been, the worst service of my life
