I booked my phone-White Blackberry 8520-for repairs on 6 October 2013, at MTN Maponya Mall. The booking was on the basis of the technical fault the phone incurs. The particular phone was still under warranty that i had expected to cover the repairs. On 9 October 2013, I received an SMS from the repairs department. The SMS stipulates that my device had been assessed and that the repair quote is R1948.32. When I called Mtn for reasons why I've been charged for a phone under warranty, I was told that the device had incured physical damages, therefore, the warranty voids. When I told them that I only needed the technical faults fixed rather than the physical damages I've been charged on, I was told that "Blackberry cannot do half jobs". I am concerned that I expected them to go as far as what the warranty covers rather than the charges I don't need and being told about the half job that cannot be done. The reference number on this matter is MOSMM3708778.
