Suspension of Outgoing Calls to Service Provide

This morning my phone was suspended for non payment of the account and understandably so - I hadn't had a chance to go onto internet banking to do so. Nevertheless, I paid slightly above the overdue amount but since my phone was suspended, I couldn't download the proof of payment email to my phone as my emails are linked to my phone, but that had never been a concern since I've never needed it. I tried to contact the service provider but even that was suspended!!! That's never happened! I had to go through someone's prepaid phone to ask them to put me through to 808. They were very helpful in that aspect. I spoke to a woman, namely Itumeleng, who asks for the reference number of the proof of payment. I reiterated twice that I never went as far as to memorise the number and once I'm online I can email it. I mean, my memory is good but that sort of detail is a waste of time to remember - who does that?! I sent the email. Now I'm trying to get through to 808 and had been on hold for over 14 minutes before I gave up... Seriously MTN, is this how you treat your customers!?!
