I have held a contract with Vodacom since 2011 and have had no problem but now it seems I was just too confident with their service. I upgraded recently and I signed a contract for R518 plus insurance of R159 and plus an old modem contract for 99 if my maths is right that comes to about 776. I have had prob with my debit orders bouncing cos I get paid on the last day of the month and so my salary clears on the 1st day of the month, I decided some time in sept to move my debit order to the 7th of each, and I thought that was great, on the 1st of oct I decided to call 111 to get balance on my account and to just confirm that my debit order was for the 7th, a voice prompt told me my balance was 850 and would go through on the 7th of oct, this morning I get a message saying my account is in arrears, I call customer service and told 1700 is due on my account, I thought I was due to pay 850 wherever that comes from instead of 776 but I need to pay 1700, so i have accumulated an invoice of about 800 in 7 days, was i not better off being charged 100 for bounced debit order cos this is not cool, i am better off cancelling this contract if this is the deal. MONEY DOESNT GROW ON TREES.
