Billed after contract was terminated in August

The response received is unacceptable as I have mentioned that I cancelled and requested my number to be migrated to pay as you go in August 2013 which they did and they also debited my bank account at the end of that month I accepted that but when the debit ran again on my bank account I don't understand and now I'm told I am billed in arrears which is confusing.
