I have a BlackBerry Bold Touch 9900 Smartphone. I recently switched to vodacom because I couldn't tolerate cellc's 2GB data cap on their BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS). I thought that vodacom's BIS was still unlimited like all the networks used to be. At first the internet speed was okay for about a half hour, then the internet started getting slow. The phone I have usually has terrific speeds for a blackberry (600 kb/s - 1 mb/s) but my pages take 10 minutes to load if I'm lucky. When downloading things, the download speed goes right down to 1 kb/s! just before the download gets an error and stops. I still can't download a single song. That is ridiculous. Other than the extremely slow internet connection, the network keeps on restarting itself. It does this about 4 - 5 times a day. I have been a vodacom customer for 2 weeks now and am extremely disappointed with the network coverage. If something isn't done to fix the problem soon, i'm going to have to look for another service provider.
