Given false information 1st time I called* Annoyed

Before I called the MTN call centre I had loged a callback request on MTN site and I didn't get a speedy response so I called the call centre as I want an option to transfer my data bundles as the *141*3# option is not allowing me to do so and was told that my phone is being rest so I should switch off the phone and take out the battery and SIM as the SIM card is being reset so with the hope that its going to work I do as I have been told, then I retry to send the data bundles and I still can send so I called MTN agin and this time around Im told I can not send the actual data bundles, why was I not told this the 1st time I called does MTN even practice Right First Time avoiding repeat calls. I'm so annoyed aren't these agents trained. I wasted 10 minutes of my time by switching off my phone for nothing* highly disappointed with MTN especially the call center agents as the 2nd agent I spoke too couldn't care and her attitude stinks* Your agents should be trained properly so that they can provide customers correct information regarding YOUR services as it is unacceptable for me to hear two different things in less than 30 minutes* its PATHETIC really it is.
