I had to pay R700 deposit to get my telkom line, after months of head aches and bad service it was finally set up, now 2 years later after not one late payment I need to close down the account as I have relocated.
I went in to cancel and was told there is a 30 day period before it can be cancelled which is fine, so I paid for the extra month and suspended the line. then a month later I go to get my deposit of R700 and they say something is wrong with the system I need to wait an extra month, so I do. Now I am told I will only get back R350 as I have been charged for another month.
Telkom are my money and blaming it on their systems and processes and the customer service in the branch is appalling. Telkom I have given you thousands, I want my deposit back.
