I write on behalf of Ms Mbuli (A cleaner). She took a contract with 8ta in 2011, said contract expired in July 2013. She cancelled the contract via telephone in July 2013. Her bank account was debited with a double debit in September 2013. After calling customer service we are told that because she had not come into a store to cancel the said contract the contract was still effective. A refund was refused. She was never advised that she needs to come in personally to cancel the contract. Should she not receive a refund immediately, the writer will proceed with legal action (despite the minimal amount) on behalf of Ms Mbuli.
