i had taken up a data contract with MTN in 2010. i concluded the contract and paid all monies due by 2012. i called into the call centre department and was told to pay in a final amount fo R600 to close off the account. The account at the time was in arrears, which i thought was settled in 2012.
i had received no further communication from MTN, only to find out in July 2013, that the account was filed as pending payment and overdue with ITC. i called MTN would only then told me that the account was R137 in arrears. (never ever brought to my attention). Do to pure frustration i paid the amount irrespective and called in to confirm payment. They promised me a letter of settlement to confirm that the account was settled in full. This was never sent to me. i needed this to file a dispute with ITC regarding the incorrect status.
MTN should be writing to Transunion to correct my status. MTN made a promise to write to me and send me confirmation of payment and settlement, which NEVER happened.
Please Please Please HELP!!!
