Account Settlement

After receiving calls that my husband's Rochester account was in arrears, which it wasn't since the account is on debit order, we decided to pay the account off. Palesa sent us a settlement amount, which was incorrect, with an ID number to be used as a reference, which was not my husband's. However, we managed to pay the correct settlement amount. I sent proof of payment to Palesa and Tsepo asking them to confirm three things:
1. that the account is settled
2. that the account is closed
3. that the debit order will not be coming off on the 5th of the month

I have sent numerous mails and received read receipts but no one has had the decency to even confirm they have the mail, much less that the account is settled and closed. They are very quick to chase a phantom arrears amount but couldn't be bothered to close a settled account.
