On the 31st August 2013 I called MTN twice and repeatedly asked if my voicemail was deactivated for roaming. I was assured by both operators and there is a note on the system that this request came in.
I phoned today to be told that the system says that there was record of me calling to deactivate my voicemail for roaming and yet it was never done.
I did not want voicemail. I apparently got it, I have not been able to get my voicemail and now have been charged for it. I also run a business so I was not even aware that clients were leaving messages thereby affecting my credibility at work as well.
I was with Vodacom for years and I never had anywhere near the same amount of problems as I do with MTN.
