Over the weekend, after being away, my parents complained that the speed and of the "uncapped" ADSL dropped drastically. Sure enough it went from my recently upgraded 2MB Uncapped Premium, I was on the 1MB Premium until last month, to what seems like 128kbps. When I called MWEB earlier I was told that my internet usage was excessive. Selling an uncapped package and then refusing to tell me what the 'limit' or acceptable use is really ridiculous. When I asked what the acceptable use is I was told that they don't have an answer and can't define it... So much for paying extra to have a 'premium' service.
The highest usage was in the first month with MWEB over 7 months ago since then it has always been less. I explained at the initial sign up and when upgrading that there are a few of us living in the household with multiple smart-connected devices each and they had no problem with that and all seemed OK. This turn-around is completely unacceptable and when I mentioned that I would be looking at other ISP options the call assistant was completely unphased. I guess they are getting a lot of customers looking at cancelling their service.
