NETWORK PROBLEMS

The Vodacom network in the Warburton - Lothair area in Mpumalanga has been faulty for - 14 days now.

I have reported to the call center who initially indicated it might be my handset. After confirming with 10 Vodacom clients at my current location I can confirm it is NOT my handset, but a Network issue.

When calling one hears metallic clicking and various electronic sounds in the background. No normal conversation is possible. At most times during the day one cannot make cell call as the network is down completely.

We operate a fire-fighting service from what is called the Warburton Fire Base, and numerous calls to activate responses in the past have come through the Vodacom lines. At present the line can not be used for such a service.

Vodacom has failed to do anything about the call quality/ network situation for 2 weeks now.
One must assume that it has become necessary to switch to another network, if you need to be reachable for urgent calls.

P.S. To VODACOM, don't call me, even IF you reach me I won't be able to hear you.
