Hi - In December 2011 I called the Cell C call centre to enquire how much the international roaming charges were. The lady that I spoke to advised me the charge and I told her that I would rather get a sim card when I arrived in Australia. I specifically said that I did not want the international roaming to activated. Subsquently, it was activated without my consent and I was charged with a bill of R15, 00o upon my return to SA.
I have emailed the cell c customer centre on 8 separate occasions and NO ONE has bothered to contact me.
I have now been handed over to attorneys to recover the above amount. I was never notified of the international roaming being activated. If it was, I would have expressed that is not what I wanted as it was too expensive. I absolutely refuse to pay for the charges as I did not request for it to be activated. I've asked for the call recording to be listened to - but no one replies to my emails... FEEDUP
