I signed up for a 2Mbps uncapped account and was able to use it for downloading and web surfing. After a few weeks my internet speed went to am stand still, to a point where I could not even open a simple web page (5mins to respond). I then called Mweb on numerous occasions and was advised that due to my torrent downloads I was being throttled for 6 consecutive days. It has now being aver 2 weeks and I am still be throttled to 0.16Mbps as per [URL Removed]
When ever I call Mweb all they say is restart your router and give it a few hours to stabilize, which of course does not help. Today when I call I was told that the 2Mbps uncapped package is not for downloading and I would be throttled (to s standstill pace of .016Mbps) unless I upgrade to a premium package. Which of course is more money.
Please whomever reads this I hope you don't make the mistake and use mweb.
Are they any decent ISP's out there?
