Vodacom
No answer from cancellations department

I am trying to confirm a cancellation of my Vodacom contract and have been instructed to call the 0821958 number as this is the ONLY number in the whole Vodacom network that deals with cancellations. I've tried numerous times but the number just rings (i once held on for more than 30 minutes) or my calls get dropped. I eventually called the customer "care" number and the consultant advised me that she does not even want to transfer me to the cancellations as she knows that my call will not be answered as the cancellations dept is very busy. What I want to know is why a company like Vodacom, who earn billions of rands in turnover, cannot adequately staff and manage a cancellations department. This is unacceptable and absolutely pathetic.
