Cancel my line

I went into the Telkom store in Canal walk in century City CapeTown to disconnect my telephone line only to be told I need to give 30 days notice. Its my line and if I want to disconnect it surely I should be allowed to do so. Next they argue with me over whether I have permission to cancel the account because my husband has access so I ask whose name is on the account and out of whose bank account is the debit order loaded. Telkom woman do more than cook and clean they also pay the bills so yes they can cancel there accounts if they want to without getting permission. I am so sick of the service and run around by Telkom. Please can somebody out there help me.
