Long Lead times for Cancellations

I ordered a 4meg line from Telkom which was installed within a fair amount of time.
My issue is that once the installation was done I found that they had rung me up for a Simple 399 account which is a 1 meg line and NOT what I ordered.
Now for me to cancel this it takes a month?
Is there no way to speed up this process?
So the call centre consultant said that I will be billed and then the bill will be amended.
I would rather just have it removed completely and immediately if possible
