Settlement letter on a receipt!!!

No-one @ mtn really knows what customer service is, months ago I asked one of the supposed managers sumayya to send me the updated settlement letter so that I could pay and close off my account - that ofcourse was never sent to me.
I'm in the process of settling all my accounts through a third party and they asked me to call mtn and arrange for the settlement letter to be sent to me, the lady from the other company called and arranged for a conference call where we spoke to a lady that apparently said we need to fax a request for this settlement letter which would take 5days to get - the fax number was invalid.
We called again and a much friendlier consultant mentioned that they do not accept such requests by fax, we then emailed the request as per 2nd suggestion - still no response.
I was told to go to the mtn branch and ask for it there, I went to protea gardens-the guy that helped me called the legal department and all I got was the amount for settlement and banking details on a dirty receipt from pick 'n pay!!! Mtn is full of nonsense!
All I want is to settle the account!! Money that the company could use, your priorities are questionable!
