Today, 03/09/2013, my bank account was debited for a cellphone contract that Summer Mobile approved on 25 July 2013. The cellphone was delivered to someone acting as me. How could Summer Mobile approve a contract without asking for proof of my identity or bank details?? According to the NCR, without my identity document, bank statements or proof of banking details and proof of address - no contract should be approved. And surely when delivering teh phone, certain security measures should be in place. I am now paying for a contract that i know nothing about. I have opened a case as well as lodged a complaint with teh National Credit Regulator for Summer Mobile's relaxed approached in this regard.
