Incorrect package information given by consultant

On Friday 2013-08-23 my wife and I went to our local 8ta branch in order to upgrade my wife's cellphone contract. We spoke to one of the lady consultants and explained to her that we are looking for the same contract / package which my wife had for the past 2 years. The consultant explained that there are now new packages. She explained to us that the Smartplan 50 and the Smartsaver 50 plans are both the same except for the saver which is a top up plan. We were told that both plans would be R169 per month when we take the Samsung S3 mini. She explained to us that we will get 50min talktime to other networks; unlimited calls to 8ta/telkom numbers; 300MB data per month and pay for the 1st 5 sms' and get 50 free sms's per day. We opted for the Smartsaver 50 based on the fact that it has the same features with an option to top-up if we need more talktime.
On the 1st of September my wife inserted the new simcard, as instructed, and used the *188# service to see if the new simcard works. She found that the explanation of the package and what the actual package was, was totally different. The MB and sms are totally different. Plus, she cannot send sms without loading money.
So, what now?
