Vodacom rips consumers off - expensive contracts

I upgraded my cellphone contract opting for a Samsung Galaxy S3. The consultant explained that because it is an android phone, it is better to opt for a Top up contract rather than an open contract like I was on previously. Although I had reservations about the cost, I agreed to a Top Up 500 package which costs significantly more than the package I am currently on. While we were completing the paper work, the consultant explained that in addition to the R500 for the contract, I would also need to pay R99per month extra for the handset and R10 extra for the CLIP per month. I was confused about the additional costs, but was told this is standard with the package. I was not satisfied with the explanation I was offered about the high cost of the top up package and compared this package to packages offered by other companies. Autopage currently has 2 offers on the Galaxy S4 for less money than the contract I am on, requires no additional payments for the handset, and comes with a car charger. Vodacom is ripping me off, charging me exorbitant fees for an older model phone than the S4, and with no added extras. It is unethical that Vodacom is allowed to over-charge consumers like this.
