Apparently we damaged the phone under the cover!!

A Nokia was sent to Vodacom for repairs due to not charging. After some research, I found that it's a common fault with this model of Nokia. They first told us that they are waiting for spares, then the spares arrived only to be told they won't fix it cause the sim has damaged the phone and it's due to miss handling of the handset by the user. I've never in my life seen a sim card damage metal like this and how does any mobile user do this to the sim holder!! Unless a screwdriver was inserted there, I won't believe it!! When i questioned the branch manager about this damage and the possibility of a technician that could by acident caused this damaged he only replied that he knows what his technicians does. Does he watch them 24/7? I mean, we are all human. In the end he told me there were sim connector pins broken. He couldnt explain how this sort of damage could occur with the cover of the phone on. Then he put the phone down in my ear. I took it to a Autopage Technician. He had a look at the phone and said the sim contacts are all fine and he cant see fault with this area of the phone, except for the metal plate that bent upwards. Vodacom refuses to listen to us as customers!
