I used to be a Vodacom fan - I have a mobile account with them as well as a business internet account. However, over the last few months I have become increasingly frustrated at their complete lack of action regarding my complaints and their somewhat dubious customer service.
Four months ago I logged a complaint about the signal in Sea Point, Cape Town which from then on has been almost non-existent. I am supposed to work from home, but this signal problem is allowing me very little time for actual work.
On 21 January I called in agin to complain. I was told that the call centre man would phone me back in 5 minutes. No one called me back. On 22 January I called yet again to see what was happening and found out that my complaint the day before hadn't even been logged. I was assured that someone would call me back within 24 hours. No call that got through to me and no message. I called again today. This call centre man said he would pass it onto his superior who would call me soon. Still waiting.
It seems extremely surprising that Vodacom cannot fix a signal problem in a densely populated metropolitan area? Perhaps they cannot get through to me because of the bad signal?
