I applied for a cellphone contract over the phone... the staff were very helpful and assisting me with the contract that was concluded over the phone... they did not explain their terms and conditions... a month after i had the phone .. it got lost... the rep that i spoke to advised me that the phone has been blacklisted to my surprise that phone is still in us and the person tat has the phone is enjoying something they are not paying for... the staff at mtn failed to tell me that should i loose that phone i will not be able to freeze my contract until i was able to buy a new phone .. to my surprise i owe them an amount of R8900, which i feel is a reap off .if i get into a contract i think its the duty of teh sales rep to advise me of such things they should not assume that i know these things.
