Finally after 5 years of harassment by Cell C I have decided to make this public. just over 5 years ago I had an account with Cell C and cancelled it as required a month before the end of the contract due to bad service. I paid the last month's installment and stopped using the service. 3 years went past then we started receiving threatening emails and phone calls from debt collectors.
I spent many months trying to find someone to speak to that could take a decision to resolve this issue. I eventually got hold of the senior manager of Cell C and when asked why she did not reply to my emails she replied "we dont reply to emails".
So after all this time, last year we received a letter stating that we do not owe anything on the account and it is settled in full. This year we again received threatening sms and phone calls from debt collectors. We provided them with the letter and spoke to a customer service manager at Cell C who assured us that it would not happen again. I believed him until yesterday it started again with a new debt collector from Cape Town. Just want to say that Cell C. Your service is the worst.
