Sanlam
Remuneration Account

I am very disappointed with Sanlam. I left the company on 31/01/2013 after working for 5 years. When I left the company I signed a debit order from of R200 for Sanlam to debit my account every month, I was owing -R10000 at that time. Sanlam never debited my account, they never contacted me, never sent me statements to update me of the account. Sanlam sent me a letter in June 2013 threatening me that I will be handed over to the debt collectors, but because I Made arrangements to pay I never took notice of the letter. I was sent an -mail by Debt collector (Debtcor) I was surprised because I had made arrangements to pay. I replied to the e-mail that was sent by Diane from the debt collectors and she was very unco-operative, I was trying to explain to her that I had already made arrangements with Sanlam. I phoned Sanlam today and spoke with Mario Wessel and he couldn't resolve my problem. I don't understand how Sanlam could be so unprofessional, I am willing to pay my debt but I don't understand why I was handed over to the debt collectors since I had made arrangements to pay my debt.
