Bad service to custome

I am currently using a Vodacom package under a company I work for and would like to take over my current package of 500minutes per month, I was that due to low my portfolio I can only get a 240minute contract and would have to pay R800 which is the penalty to downgrade. I enquired that what if I go over the 240 minute limit as I would still be using my phone in the same capacity as my current company does and was told that then I shall be then be presented with a bill for the extra cost of minutes after 240minutes.
My question is why can they not grant me my current package and I pay the continuation fee to use my number? if it is that with the smaller package I would still have to pay almost or more and be limited than before..how is this being helpful to me as a customer that has come to rely on this brand?
