Premature Upgrade

Good day, I recently approached two outlets about an upgrade. My everyday number is over 12 months old and I was turned down at both stores for an premature upgrade.

I understand that the line in question need to be over a certain amount per month, I have been with Vodacom for the past 5 years, with four lines and my account has been well in excess of that required amount. I was utterly disappointed when It was mentioned that I cannot qualify because my package is on a top up, I am not looking to downgrade to a lower package more so wish to be on a higher package than my current one, just so that I can take out that device.

I was told to open a new line, I don't mind doing that, but it makes no sense taking another line out and i don't ever use that sim, therefore wish to upgarde premature on my primary line, extending the current contract on a higher package for the remainder of the term and the new term. I am sure that there has to be an alternative to what was proposed to me. Vodacom seem to be the only provider to stock this unit in South Africa and really hope that they can relook at my account and situation in a favourable manner.
