ADSL Internet connectivity painfully slow / nil!!!

I lodged a complaint on 5 August 2013 regarding painfully slow or non-existent Internet connectivity over an extended period (month / years).

I stated that Telkom has failed to address the problem.

I also stated that it is extremely frustrating that there is no way that one can get to contact anyone in Telkom to find out what is happening.

On the 6 August I received an escalation notification (ARS 231851) from Cornelia Kawa who works in Telkom's escalation centre. Cornelia's message stated that the matter had been escalated to the relevant department for further investigation and that I would be provided with feedback.

I HAVE RECEIVED NO FEEDBACK TO DATE and the problem persists. As an example - I have just tried to use Telkom's webmail facility. The response is so slow that I get the following message:

If you are using a SLOW CONNECTION or an older computer, you may want to switch to the Standard (HTML) version.

I am running a 2.8GHz laptop with 8Gb memory - so I don't think the problem is with my computer!
