On 30/06/2013 I experienced slow to non existent internet connectivity from Telkom with very high latency. I mailed technical & received 24ARK290613 as ref. Saturday 01/07/2013 I received a mail from Moses via RT saying the problem was resolved & the fault was closed which is absolute B.S. The high latency & slow to no internet connectivity is on-going a week now with Telkom technical giving me the run around & blatantly lying to my face about escalating the problem.
I spoke to a Telkom consultant yesterday 03/07/04 which gave me this escalation ref: s170578 & spoke to another one today named Victor Ref:527942/04/07/2013. He informed me that Telkom does not guarantee their service at all which was nice & also that my fault request was closed on Monday after I reported it again & never reopened admitting that I had been to from the start & that nothing is being been done to resolve the issue. This suggests that Telkom actually knows about the problem & cannot be bothered to correct it.
Incidentally this latency problem occurs daily between 07:00am - 23:00pm. In the same time frame that Telkom sees fit to throttle certain types of traffic on the network
