I barely get cellphone reception at my home/office. This has been raised with Vodacom on numerous occasions. Herewith my last email to them on 3/7/2013 to which I have had no response.
"I am sorry but your offer of a 10% discount is not acceptable. this issue of poor reception goes back to before March 2012. Going back on my really old correspondence I will be able to prove that this problem has been ongoing for at least 10 years with numerous promises of 'service upgrades' for this area. A more meaningful apology will be a 90% reduction on subscriptions and calls since the matter was acknowledged in your e-mail of 30 March 2012. That means a back dated compensation from 1 April 2012 and not an insignificant 10% from 1 August 2013.
I want to know:
1. When the actual infrastructure upgrade will actually be done i.e. a specific date.
2. What Vodacom will do if the upgrade is not done i.e. if the chimney structure is the only way forward, when can it be installed?
A 10% discount on my account is a mere platitude from Vodacom, because now Vodacom feels as if the matter can be drawn out by another year or two with very little consequences."
