I purchased a iPhone 5 from a vodacom outlet and my phone is not even 6 months old, on Sunday my microphone stopped working (in a call people could hear me but I could not hear them, but I could hear them if I had the speaker phone active. I took it to vodacom Green point and the lady at the desk said it needed to be sent to jhb and will take up too 21 days I said that is not except able and needed to know what the problem was before - I was told to go to ifix - I took the phone there and they took a look and said the microphone was fault (factory fault) and that I should request for a new unit. They are not apple accredited and I would loose my warranty so took it back to the vodacom outlet, I asked the lady to ask the technician to take a look, while I wait she returns with light and microscope device and says the phone has water damage and beyond economical repair and that I can wait for a letter to give to insurance! Never been close to water- I leave with the letter and the phone start working and hour later, I can use the phone and all is ok, but I still have the letter stating it can't be fixed! Vodacom just pass the buck at the customer expense! I
